Bouncing Back from Burnout

A therapy worksheet turned eLearning module.

December 2024

In my experience, therapy worksheets have always just been still handouts, whether digital or physical. I've been wondering for a while, how can I transform these worksheets into an engaging experience?

Enter: Chameleon Creator. I've been introduced to Chameleon Creator early this year and I'm just impressed with how great their authoring tool is and how well they've been growing. One feature that Chameleon has is the ability to generate and customize certificates. Usually, these certificates are meant to indicate completion or progress within learning.

Tying back to my thought of a more engaging therapy worksheet, I started thinking, what if I transformed therapy worksheets into an eLearning module? And that got me into gear!

The topic of the lesson is inspired by a fact sheet on burnout by Thrive Worldwide. I also utilised AI tools such as ChatGPT and Goblin Tools (Formalizer and Professor) to assist with curating content for the lesson. Meanwhile, the design assets were sourced from Canva, particularly Caribay M Benavides's bright textured illustrations on self-care.

In developing the module, I made sure to design and prepare the lesson with a little 'storyboard', although a 'content outline' would probably be a better term for what I used for preparation. Once the outline was complete, I focused on preparing design assets. The colors of the lesson are directly picked from Benavides's illustrations, in order to provide a cohesive appearance. Afterwards, I went straight to Chameleon Creator! Considering that Chameleon Creator is quite a straight-forward tool to use, it wasn't difficult to develop the module.

Overall, this lesson was simply a passion project for practice, to satiate my curiosities on what Chameleon Creator can do, and I'm pretty excited to discover what else I can invent with Chameleon Creator.
