Bank Smarter, Not Harder: Cybersecurity is an eLearning course I designed and developed based on an existing web-based training (WBT) I've developed from a client in the FinTech industry.
The Microlearning course was developed using Articulate Rise. I thought of using Microlearning instead of a regular-sized course as the lesson mainly focuses on one objective - how to reduce risks when using online banking services.
The graphics of the course were designed using Freepik and Canva, while the content of the course was taken from the existing WBT I've created before along with supplementary information from Ramsey Solutions and Forbes.
Upon completion of the course, I started wondering if interaction blocks were effective in microlearning lessons. I wanted to add interactions to provide more engagement for the viewer, but I do think there should be a balance between providing enough engagement and presenting content as succinctly as possible.
One highlight about the development of this lesson is not particularly tied to the lesson itself... Through this project, I learned how to use Amazon S3 and CloudBerry Explorer to upload the course to a web server for the portfolio. The process looked intimidating at first, but I found out that it was quite simple. And because I've figured out how to use those tools, I can share my course to everyone!
